In the Indonesian educational system, autonomy has been demanded to be promoted in the teaching and learning process of recent curriculum implementation. Unfortunately, it cannot be denied that learner autonomy still poses a challenge to be implemented in Indonesia since the teaching-learning process still was dominant. Therefore, it is essential to explore students’ problems with learner autonomy. This study used descriptive quantitative study through the questionnaire as the students’ data collection method, to explore students’ problems with autonomous English Learning. Ninety one students from one of MAN in Agam were involved to elicit their problems on autonomous English learning. Furthermore, this finding showed that the students have problems with autonomous English learning. This study found problems of students in autonomous English learning which were (1) developing the target language into a separate reference system and being willing to revise and reject hypotheses and rules that do not apply, (2) willing to take risks, (3) and good guessers. On other hand, the study showed four indicators were low problematic. There were (1) The students should have a tolerant and outgoing approach to the target language, (2) The learners take an active approach to the learning task at hand, (3) Autonomous learners have insights into their learning styles and strategies, and (4) The learners try to be proactive in developing their ability in English by seeking external knowledge. The learners who try to be proactive in developing their ability in English by seeking external knowledge are the least students who answered.

Pembelajaran Bahasa inggris di sekolah pada saat ini memasuki fase baru dikarenakan adanya kurikulumbaru yang digunakan, yakni kurikulum merdeka. Hal ini turut dialami oleh siswa dan guru di tingkat sekolah dasar. Setelah sebelumnya sekolah dasar tidak mendapt porsi pelajaran Bahasa inggris, dala kurikulum baru ini hal ini muncul kembali. Siswa diberi kesempatan Kembali untuk belajar Bahasa inggris semenjak tingkatsekolah dasar. Hal ini tentunya mempengaruhi kesiapan sekolah dalam menyediakan materi ajar sekaligus tenaga pengajar untuk maa pelajaran Bahasa ingris. Karena implementasi kurikulum merdeka ini baru dimulai pada tahun ajaran 2024/2025 ini, maka sekolah masih belum memiliki guru khusus yang berlatar belakang Pendidikan Bahasa inggris. Untuk itu, pelajaran Bahasa inggris khususnya di SDN 08 Kubang duo koto Panjang kab. Agam dibantu didampingi oleh dosen-dosen Bahasa inggris di UIN SMDD Bukittinggi. Diharapkan kegiatan ini membantu sekolah dalam memfasilitasi siswa di materi pelajaran Bahasa inggris.

Teaching speaking in using English usually create some problems which related to how to find out the best to teach. eventhought many teachnqiues for teaching english, the teacher get difficulties to choose the best one and get problem in how to apply it in the classroom. Thus, it is important to do community service in order to help teachers in choosing the best techqniues in teaching speaking which considered the needs of the students, the materials and the availability of time and space for applying those techniques.

This study aimed to find out the effect of using indirect corrective feedback to eliminate grammatical errors in students' writing. This research was conducted at SMKN 1 Padang Panjang because most of students still encounter problems in mastering writing text especially grammatical aspect. Most of the students' writing was founded many of grammatical error. Then, the students still did not get the appropriate feedback of the teacher toward their errors. And, the teacher also did not give the spesific feedback or treatment to help the students in reducing the error. This research used pre-experiment research. The researcher used one-group pretest posttest design. To determine sample, the researcher used purposive sampling technique. The data got from the pre-test and post-test in experiment class. To analyze the data, the resercher used the normality test and homogeneity test by using SPSS Statistics20 and to test the hypothesis the researcher used t-test formula and consulted the result into t-table with level of significant a=0.05. From the result and accounting the post-test of experiment class,it was founded that using indirect corrective feedback in eliminate grammatical error had better result than without indirect coreective feedback. It can be seen by comparing the t-obtained (2) that higher than the t-table (1.706).
