Abstrak
This is descriptive qualitative in nature with data collection techniques through interviews and documentation studies. As informants in this research were the traditional leaders, the chairman of Lubuk Larangan and community figures. Meanwhile, the author's data analysis technique uses qualitative analysis techniques. Based on the results of this research, it shows that customary law sanctions against perpetrators of the crime of illegal fish theft in Nagari Padang Sibusuk Kec. Kupitan are in the form of paying a fine, namely replacing fish seeds twice ilpat, paid within 7 days, and no later than 14 days. If they are not paid, then the perpetrator of the crime of prohibited fish theft in Nagari Padang Sibusuk Kec. Kupitan will not be included in all customary activities.
