This research is motivated by the importance of the obligation to provide for relatives in Islam and the often limited understanding of the concept. This study aims to examine and formulate a comprehensive concept of providing for relatives based on Hamka's interpretation in the Tafsir Al-Azhar, by analyzing his socio-cultural interpretation. The method used is qualitative through library research with a thematic (maudhu'i) interpretation approach. The analysis focuses on Hamka's interpretation of key verses: Q.S. Al-Isra [17]: 26, Q.S. An-Nisa [4]: 36, Q.S. Al-Baqarah [2]: 215, and Q.S. At-Talaq [65]: 7. The results indicate that there are four key verses that form the basis for discussing this theme. Hamka's interpretation of these verses in the Tafsir Al-Azhar is based on adabi ijtima'i, which emphasizes the social-moral aspect. Based on this analysis, a complete concept is formulated that providing for relatives is a social-religious ethical system built on four main pillars: (1) the principle of priority that prioritizes relatives, (2) the dimension of worship as a form of faith and ihsan, (3) the principle of justice and proportionality according to ability, and (4) the ethics of managing wealth by avoiding wasteful (tabzir) and stingy attitudes.
