The Manhaj of Book Al-'Ujalah fi Al-Ahadith Al-Musalsalah by Muhammad Yasin Al-Fadani: Manhaj Kitab Al-‘Ujalah fi Al-Ahadits Al-Musalsalah Karya Muhammad Yasin Al-Fadani
Sheikh Muhammad Yasin al-Fadani was a great Indonesian hadith scholar in the late 20th century. A scholar of Padang, West Sumatra who was born in Makkah and is famous in various parts of the world. The scholars recognized his knowledge by dubbing him as Musnid al-Dunya. He mastered various fields of Islamic science, especially regarding the science of hadith which focused on the sanad and matan of hadith. This research discusses the book of Al-'Ujalah fi Al-Ahadith Al-Musalsalah, one of the unique and rare written works, which is used as a source of reference for science, but there has been no research that focuses on this book to find out the method and content of the book's discussion. This research uses a combined method of character study and literature study, which aims to analyze the methodology he used both in the form of systematics and characteristics of writing the book "Al-'Ujalah fi Al-Ahadith Al-Musalsalah" as well as introducing his role and contribution during the study. The results of this study show that the book "Ujalah fi Al-Ahadith Al-Musalsalah" contains musalsal traditions with the most famous sanad network known by hadith scholars that are complete both in terms of sanad and matan, connected from one teacher to another, in the tradition of previous hadith scholars, up to the Prophet Muhammad. He then provides explanations and assessments of the musalsal traditions listed by several scholars as well as the authenticity of the traditions. The manhaj he uses is similar to that of previous scholars. The book is well organized and quite systematic. Based on this book, it appears that the role and contribution of Shaykh Muhammad Yasin alFadani is to continue to develop and spread the science of hadith. He tried to preserve and maintain so that the knowledge of the sanad in the form of hadith musalsal is not lost, the authenticity of the source of history is maintained, and the tradition of transmitting the sanad to the next generation.

Imam Nawawī [1] adalah salah seorang ulama mazhab Syāfi’ī yang cukup terkenal dalam dunia keilmuan Islam.Sampai Saat Ini, kitab-kitab karyanya masih menjadi referensi dan rujukan utama para ulama di dunia Islam,terutama di kalangan ulama Syāfi’iyah. Diantara Buku-buku Nawawi yang terkenal dan masih menjadi bahan kajian di berbagai madrasah, pesantren dan majelis ilmu di tanah air dan mancanegara hingga dewasa ini adalah; Raudat al Thālibīn wa ‘Umdat al Muftīn, Majmū’ Syarh al Muhazzab,Riyādh al shālihīn,Al Minhāj al-‘Abidin,al Arba’un al Nawawi, Syarhuan An Nawawi ‘ala Muslim, Adab al Fatwa wal Mufti wal Mustafti dan lain sebagainya.Di samping kesohor sebagai intelektual yang alim dan penulis yang produktif, Nawawi juga dikenal sebagai seorang mufti. Tampil Menjawab dan menetapkan hukum di berbagai persoalan yang muncul dan berkembang dalam masyarakat. Sehingga tidak mengherankan Kalau dengan multi-talenta dan berbagai kepiawaian yang dimilikinya,sosok Nawawi muncul sebagai tokoh ulama yang dijuluki sebagai imam Syafi’i yang kedua.Kendatipun dikenal sebagai ulama bermazhab Syafi'i ,bahkan sebagai “Syafi’i yang kedua”, ternyata tidak semua pendapat dan fatwa Nawawi selalu sama dan sejalan dengan pendapat imam Syafi’i dan ulama Syafi'iyah lainnya.Karena, ditemukan sejumlah fatwa dan pendapat Nawawi yang berbeda dari pendapat ulama Syafi’iyah pada umumnya. Bahkan ditemukan pula fatwa dan pendapat Nawawi yang berbeda dari pendapat imam Syafi’i sendiri. ________________________________________[
