Abstrak
Zakiatun Nufus, 2320117. Comparison between Male and Female Students’ Attitude in Learning English at the 8th Grade Students of MTsN 2 Payakumbuh Academic Year 2023/2024. A thesis, Stated Islamic University (UIN) Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi, 2024. The research was due to several problems identified in the field; Male students were more active and confident in answering a question when learning English than females. Some of female students seemed less enthusiastic in learning and too quiet/ passive, Most of the male and female students said that learning English was difficult. The study aims know the comparison between male and female students attitude in learning English. Seventy-eight students as the sample consisted of 39 males and 39 Females. The researcher used proportionate stratified random sampling. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire adapted from Esghinejad (2016) consisting of 30 items. There result shows there is a significant difference between male and female students’ attitudes toward learning English with Sig. (2-tailed) 0.014. Where female have positive attitude than male. In addition Male and Female students have positive attitude in learning English.
