Nur Izzatillah, Student ID Number: 2220044, with the research title “The Effectiveness of the Quantum Learning Method to Improve the Speech Skill of Students of the Islamic Senior High School 1 Bukittinggi". Arabic Language Education Department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi State Islamic University (UIN), 2024. Experts have developed various methods to be applied in language teaching, one of which is the Quantum Learning Method. The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the Quantum Learning method in upgrading the speech skill of the 11th grade students of the Islamic Senior High School 1 Bukittinggi. The research method used by the researcher is the quantitative research method of the experimental research type using the Pretest Posttest Non-equivalent Control Group Design. Data were collected from three sources: Observation, testing, and documentation. The data analysis technique consists of two phases, which are the prerequisite test consisting of the normality test and the homogeneity test. Then it continues with hypothesis testing, which consists of Paired Sample T Test and Independent Sample T Test. The results of this study showed that the Quantum Learning method is effective and can have a very good effect in upgrading the speech skill of 11th grade students in Islamic Senior High School 1 Bukittinggi.

Pengaruh Penggunaan Metode Pengajaran Reflektif Terhadap Kemampuan Berbicara Siswa Kelas Sebelas di SMK Gema Nusantara Bukittinggi

This research was conducted for address a few of issues existing in students' speaking ability while learning English at SMK Gema Nusantara Bukittinggi. The problems were the students' fear of being judged badly when speaking English, difficulties in pronunciation, and limited vocabulary. To overcome the issues, reflective teaching method was used in aimed to determine wether there was significant affects of this method to students' speaking ability. The research was convened by using quantitative method and a quasi-experimental design. The population consisted of eleventh-grade students of SMK Gema Nusantara Bukittinggi and purposive sampling was used to select XI Farmasi 3 to be an experimental class (given treatment) and XI Farmasi 1 as the control class (no treatment). Data were obtained from pre-tests and post-tests administered to both classes. SPSS 23 was used to test the normality, homogeneity, reliability, and t-tests for hypothesis testing. The results compared to the t-table in level significance of α = 0.05. The findings get three key outcomes: first, there is a significant effect of reflective teaching method towards students' speaking ability, it shows by the t-calculated value for the class experiment, the pre-test post-test are greater than the t-table value (-14.267 -2.064) ; second, there is a significant difference of speaking ability between students who instructed with reflective teaching method and without reflective teaching method, it indicates by the t-calculated value for the post-test of experimental and control classes are greater than the t-table value (2.394 > 2.008) ; and third, the average of post-test score improvement in class experiment is greater than the control class (11.28 > 4.59). It proves that reflective teaching method is effective in improving students' speaking ability.

Thesis, English Education, UIN Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi, 2022 This research was conducted because there are many problems that arise in students' learning motivation in learning English. Like most students are not interested in learning English, most students are also not confident in learning English, students' English scores are low, and many students feel bored. . and does not focus on learning English. This study aims to find out whether there is an effect of the hypnoteaching method on students' motivation to learn English. This research is an experimental study. The total population is 75 students, the sample is 30 people, there are control classes and experimental classes, using purposive sampling technique. To collect data, researchers use questionnaires and documentation in the form of photos and videos in class XI Islamic boarding school Asyabul Yamin. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using data tabulation, processing data questionnaires with a Likets scale. Based on the results of the study, there is a significant effect of the Hypnoteaching method on students' motivation to learn English. In addition, it is supported by data, where the average score of students on the questionnaire score without treatment is 75.05 which has an increase in the score of the questionnaire using treatment by 67.64. The results of the z test show that zobtained is higher than ztable. It can be concluded hypothesis (Ha) this study can accept that there is a significant effect of the hypnoteaching method on students' learning motivation in learning English. A Thesis, State Islamic Institute of Bukittinggi, 2019. This research was done based on researchers’ observation in SMKN 1 Payakumbuh. The researcher found several problems that were felt by students at the first grade of SMKN1 Payakumbuh in learning English, they were uninterested and unmotivated in learning English, such as the low response of students to participate in learning made classroom conditions passive, the students felt anxious and shy to deliver their ideas, and the students got bored quickly when their learned English. In theory, the researcher found that there were many method that could be used by the teacher to help their students to improve motivation in learning English. One of them is Hypnoteaching Method. This statement made the researcher became interested to conduct the research at SMKN 1 Payakumbuh that purposed to know whether there was significant effect of using Hypnoteaching method to improve students motivation in learning English, and to know whether students motivation who are taugh by using Hypnoteaching better than by using conventional learning technique. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of hypnoteaching to improve students motivation in learning English. This research used experimental research.The researcher used a pre-experimental design by using the intact comparison group. The population of this research was the first grade of SMKN 1 Payakumbuh. The sample was XPM1 was treated as experimental class and taught by using Hypnoteaching and XPM2 was treated as control class and taught by using conventional technique. To determine the sample, the researcher used purposive sampling technique. case, the researcher will choose the Pre Experimental Design because in this design especially researcher will choose the intact group comparison, because the class taken the researcher is same class, taught by the same teacher, found the some problem and also it is suggested by the teacher teaching in that class. The data was got through score questionnaire control group and score questionnaire experiment groups. In order to analyze the data, the researcher used the normality test by using Liliefors test and tested the homogeneity of the data by using F test. The researcher also used the z-test formula to test the hypothesis and consulted its result with the ztable with α = 0.05 The result of this research showed that the hypothesis were accepted. The researcher calculated score questionnaire control group and score questionnaire experiment group. It showed that (zobtain is higher than ztable) 10,79 is higher than1,6669. It can we conclude that there was significant effect of using Hypnoteaching method toward students motivation in learning English. So, Hypnoteaching method effective to improve students motivation in learning English at SMKN1 Payakumbuh.
