ABSTRACT Febi Angeliani Syafrul, 2318056, "The Effect of Using Hypnoteaching Methods on Students in Learning English at 11th Grade of Ashhabul Yamin Islamic Boarding School." Thesis, English Education, UIN Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi, 2022 This research was conducted because there are many problems that arise in students' learning motivation in learning English. Like most students are not interested in learning English, most students are also not confident in learning English, students' English scores are low, and many students feel bored. . and does not focus on learning English. This study aims to find out whether there is an effect of the hypnoteaching method on students' motivation to learn English. This research is an experimental study. The total population is 75 students, the sample is 30 people, there are control classes and experimental classes, using purposive sampling technique. To collect data, researchers use questionnaires and documentation in the form of photos and videos in class XI Islamic boarding school Asyabul Yamin. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using data tabulation, processing data questionnaires with a Likets scale. Based on the results of the study, there is a significant effect of the Hypnoteaching method on students' motivation to learn English. In addition, it is supported by data, where the average score of students on the questionnaire score without treatment is 75.05 which has an increase in the score of the questionnaire using treatment by 67.64. The results of the z test show that zobtained is higher than ztable. It can be concluded hypothesis (Ha) this study can accept that there is a significant effect of the hypnoteaching method on students' learning motivation in learning English.
