Abstrak
ABSTRACT Elvi Novita Sari, 2313.148 with the tittle The Effect of Using REAP strtegy toward Students Writing in Narrative Text at The Second Grade of MTs N Balingka. A Thesis, State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Bukittinggi, 2018. This research was aimed to discover the effect of using REAP strategy toward studenst writing in narrative text. It was done at MTs N Balingka. There were some problems that was found by the researcher at the field, one of the problem is the students have difficult in writing, especially writing in narrative text. They are did’nt know how to make writing narrrative text correctly. The design of this research was experimental research. It had two class : experimental and control. Experimental clas was VIII 5, the number of sample was 37 students, and control class was VIII 4, the number of sample was 35. In experimental class was treated by using REAP strategy and in control class was treated by using conventional method. To determine the sample, the researcher used purposive sampling technique. Normality and homogeneus the data tested by using Liliefors test and F-test. The testing of hypothesis used Z-test formula with level of significant (α ) 0,05. Based on the result of analysis of the hypothesi, first hypothesis was “There is significant effect of using REAP strategy toward student’s writing narrative text”. The researcher the score of Zo was 10,45 and Z-table 1,96. It can be concluded that REAP strategy gave significant effect toward students writing skill. In the second hypothesis was there “ There are any significant differences of student’s writing in narrative text by using REAP strategy and conventional methode. The reseracher obtained the score of T obtained was 12,23 and T table 1,64. The researcher found there were any significant differences of students writing in narrative text between REAP strategy and conventional methode. Based on the result of third hypothesis was “ students writing skill in narrative text better than conventional methode”. The researcher obtained the score of To was 12,23 and To was 1,64. It can be assumed that using of REAP strategy was better than conventional methode. Based on the result of analysis of hypothesis above, it can be concluded that REAP strategy gave significant effect toward students writing in narrative text. The students writing skill was better than using REAP strategy than conventional methode. It means REAP strategy is appropriate to apply in teaching writing. Bukittinggi, 2018 Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan pengaruh penggunaan strategi REAP terhadap kemampuan siswa dalam menuliskan sebuah teks narrative. Terdapat beberapa permasalahan yang didapatkan oleh penulis didalam menuliskan sebuah teks narrative. Diantaranya masih banyak siswa yang belum mengetahui bagaimana membuat sebuah teks narrative dengan benar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen. Perancangan penelitian ini adalah penelitian yang bersifat eksperimen. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua kelas. Yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Kelas yang menjadi kelas eksperimen adalah kelas VIII 5, terdiri dari 37 orang siswa, dan yang menjadi kelas kontrol adalah kelas VIII 4 yang terdiri dari 35 orang siswa. Kelas eksperimen diberikan perlakuan berupa penerapan strategy REAP sedangkan kelas kontrol hanya diberlakukan metode yang konvensional. Untuk menentukan kelas penelitian tersebut, peneliti menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Kenormalan dan kehomogenitasan data diuji dengan uji Lilifors dan pengujian hyphotesis menggunakan uji F. Sedangkan pengujian hypothesis menggunakan uji Z dengan standar signifikan 0.05. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data untuk hypothesis yang pertama, “Terdapat pengaruh strategi REAP terhadap kemampuan menulis sebuah teks narrative bagi siswa” di peroleh nilai Z-hit = 10,45 dan Z-tabel = 1,96. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa strategy REAP memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan dari hasil kemampuan siswa menulis sebuah teks narrative antara penngunaanstrategy REAP dan metode konvensional. Diperoleh nilai T-hit 12,23 dan T-tabel 1,64. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan penggunaan strategy REAP tehadap kemampuan siswa dalam menulis sebuah teks narrative dibandingkan dengan metode konvensional. Dari hasil analisis hypothesis ketiga yaitu” kemampuan menulis siswa lebih baik menggunakan strategy REAP dibandingkan dengan menggunakan metode konvensional. Berdasarkan hasil analisi diatas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa strategi REAP memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan menulis sebuah teks narrative bagi siswa dibandingkan dengan menggunakan metode konvensional. Ini berarti strategi REAP dapat diterapkan dalam pengajaran menulis terutama dalam penulisan sebuah teks narrative. Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Menulis, Teks Narratif, Strategi REAP
