Strategi Digitalisasi Penghimpunan Zakat Baznas Kota Medan Di Era Revolusi 5.0
The development of digital technology in the era of Revolution 5.0 has encouraged zakat management institutions to transform their services through digital-based systems. This study aims to analyze the digitalization strategy for zakat collection at BAZNAS Medan City, identify supporting and inhibiting factors, and examine efforts to improve muzakki's digital literacy from an Islamic economic perspective. This research uses a qualitative descriptive Article History : Submission : Review : Accepted : Published : Keyword : Digitalization of Zakat, Digital Literacy, BAZNAS Medan City, Islamic Economics, Revolution 5.0. DOI : method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that BAZNAS Medan City implements a hybrid digitalization strategy through the utilization of QRIS, digital payment services (e-wallet, mobile banking), social media platforms, cooperation with banking institutions, and the use of the Zakat Management Information System (SiMBA). Digitalization provides convenience, efficiency, and transparency in zakat collection. However, its implementation still faces several challenges, including low digital and zakat literacy among some communities, limited human resources capabilities, and internet network constraints. To overcome these challenges, BAZNAS Medan City optimizes digital literacy through education, social media campaigns, improved online services, and transparent reporting. These efforts are well- aligned with Islamic economic values, particularly the principles of monotheism (tauhid), trustworthiness (amanah), justice (al-'adl), excellence (al- ihsan), and responsibility (al-mas'uliyah).
