The design of this research was quasi experimental with 2x2 factorial design. The research involved 29 students majoring in pharmacy. The experimental class was giving treatment by teaching reading with Anticipation Guide Strategy , on the other hand, control class was taught by using conventional strategy. The students were further grouped into two group (high and low motivation) in each class. The result of this research shows that students who were taught by using Anticipation Guide Strategy had better reading comprehension of procedure text than those who were taught by conventional method and the result also indicated that there is no interaction between motivational level and reading comprehension.
