Sabrina Efriyani, 2319.058, The Title “An Analysis of Students Published Article of English Departement at UIN Sjech Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi”. A thesis of English Education Study Program UIN Sjech M Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi 2024/2025. This research is aimed to find out writing ability of students in writing literature reviews in journals from students who have graduated from the English Department at UIN Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi in 2021/2022 English Department. This research employs a mixed methods design, combining quantitative and qualitative approaches to understand students' abilities in writing literature reviews. The target population is students who graduated from the English Department at Uin Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi in 2021/2022. The sample consists of students who have graduated and have published journals. Data collection involves documentation and rubric assessment. Qualitative data analysis involves documentary evidence and analytical approaches, while quantitative data analysis uses percentage formulas to calculate student scores. The ranking order of students' abilities is categorized into very good, good, enough, low, and very low based on their scores. The analysis of students' journal writing scores reveals that most students (86.49%) gathered information from limited sources, indicating a need for improvement in research skills and access to information sources. Only 21.62% of students wrote well-organized articles with a logical sequence and structure, and 37.84% drew conclusions from evidence. Notably, 97.30% of students did not have research questions in their journals. Furthermore, many students made errors in citation, grammar, and formatting, highlighting areas for improvement in training, mentoring, and curriculum enhancement to help students achieve a higher level of writing.
