English Education Study Program. UIN Sjech M. Djamil Djambek, Bukittinggi. This study was conducted in response to a few problems that the students had. To begin with, the Lack of understanding of students in reading text. Second, the teacher uses the conventional strategy when teaching reading. Third, lack of time to learn English, especially the reading part. As a result of this situation, researchers tried to apply Collaborative Strategic Reading (CSR) as a strategy to improve students' Reading Comprehension. Therefore, the researcher aims to see how Collaborative Strategic Reading (CSR) influences Students' Reading Comprehension in the eleventh grade of SMAN 1 Banuhampu throughout the 2023/2024 academic year. Quantitative research was implemented in this research. The method utilized to explore this study was a quasi-experimental design. The population of this study consisted of all 264 students in eleventh grade at the school. There were 70 students in total, with 36 in the experimental class and 34 in the control class. The reading test was used as the research tool. The researcher utilized SPSS version 2.2 for Windows to analyze the data. In addition, the researcher conducted an independent sample t-test to determine the impact of using Collaborative Strategic Reading (CSR) on students' reading comprehension. The result of the research showed that there was an effect of using Collaborative Strategic Reading (CSR) towards students’ reading comprehension at eleventh grade of SMAN 1 Banuhampu in the academic year 2023/2024. It has been presented by using statistical of independent sample t-test where the criteria were Ha is accepted when the significant value α (0,05), in contrast, Ho is refused. Based on the result of the research the significant value was 0,000 0,05. It means that Ha is accepted. Furthermore, the findings of this research showed that there was a significant effect of using Collaborative Strategic Reading (CSR) toward Students’ Reading Comprehension at Eleventh Grade of SMAN 1 Banuhampu (Sig (2-tailed = 0.000) 1/2 α (0.05). In addition, there was sa ignificant difference between the students who were taught by using Collaborative Strategic Reading (CSR) and the students who were taught without using Collaborative Strategic Reading (CSR) (2-tailed ≠0.000) 1/2 α (0.05). Moreover, the students’ reading comprehension which had been taught by using Collaborative Strategic Reading (CSR) is better than by using conventional strategy.
