Abstrak
This research was done to find out the Implementation of Problem Based Learning Model in Teaching English at the second grade of Pesantren Ashhabul Yamin Lasi . The problem based learning model makes students become more active, think critically and are able to overcome problems in their daily lives. The research focus in this thesis is 1) How do the teachers implement Problem Based Learning in teaching English at the second grade of Pondok Pesantren Ashabul Yamin Lasi? 2) What are the problems faced by the teacher when implementing problem-based learning in teaching at the second grade of Pondok Pesantren Ashabul Yamin Lasi? The purpose of this research 1) To find out the implementation of problem-based learning in teaching English at Pondok Pesantren Ashhabul Yamin Lasi. 2)To know the problem by the teacher when implementing problem-based learning in teaching English at Pondok Pesantren Ashhabul Yamin Lasi. This research approach is a qualitative approach. The type of research is field research, the data analysis technique that the researchers carried out was data reduction, data presentation and data verification. To ensure the validity of the research data, researchers triangulated the data. Based on the results of the study, it can be understood that the implementation of the problem-based learning model in the classroom can increase students' thinking skills, dare to appear and discuss. Teachers provide a stimulus to students in the form of a learning model that thinks and is fun so that learning in class VIII can provide its own benefits for students, especially in learning English.
