Abstrak
This thesis was written by Suchi Hati Diva Nim 4619038 Sociology of Religion Study Program, Faculty of Ushuluddin Adab and Da'wah State Islamic University (UIN) Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi with the title "Religious Awareness of the Maituang Oto Builder in the Nagari Padang Sibusuk Coal Mining Area". This research is motivated by the existence of a community activity that has an element of coercion in the form of extortion in the Coal Mining Area. The purpose of doing this research is to analyze how the Religious Awareness of the Maituang Oto Man in Nagari Padang Sibusuk. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with qualitative analysis methods. researchers use the theory of Social Construction: Religion as Social Reality by Peter L. Berger which explains that Social Reality that exists in human life is a Social Fact. Researchers conducted interviews and were supported by field observation methods. The location of this research was carried out in the Nagari Padang Sibusuk Coal Mining Area. The results of this study indicate that the first is by analyzing how people who carry out extortion activities or maiuang oto respect the surrounding community. Second, to find out what form of action the Religious Awareness of the Maituang Oto Man in the Nagari Padang Sibusuk Mining Area was played by the indigenous people of Nagari Padang Sibusuk. .
