Abstrak
ABSTRACT Putri Maristha Indriani, 2315108. “The Effect of Using Flipped Classroom Model in Teaching Writing of Recount Text at Second Grade Students at MTsN Ganting Padang” a thesis. English Education Study Program.IAIN Bukittinggi, 2021. This research was classified as a quasi-experimental research. The location at MTsN Ganting Padang Panjang.There were experimental group that was VIII.A class (30 students) and control group that was VIII.B class (30 students). The sample was selected by using cluster random sampling. The experimental class treated by using Flipped classroom model, while the control class was using the conventional ways. The pre-test was given to the two groups before giving treatment. And the post-test was given after giving the treatment. The treatment by using Flipped classroom model only gave for experimental group. After the data was collected,the researcer analyzed the data use T-test in SPSS application with significant of α =0,05. The result of pre-test showed the mean score of experimental class was 61,73 and the control class was 61,90. After giving the treatment, The result of post-test showed the mean score of experimental class was 85,86 and the control class was 69,76. The researcher used two kinds of t-test that were paired sample t-test and indepedent sample t-test. From the statistical analysis by using pired sample t-test was gotten the first hypothesis there was significnt effect of using Flipped calssroom model toward student’ writing skill in recount text. Data analysis showed that the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted because tobtained (17,147) was higher than ttable (1,699) for df 29 with the level significant 0,025. Whereas for the second hypothesis and the third hypothesis, data analysis used independent sample t-test so the second hypothesis there was a significant difference of using Flipped classroom model in students’ writing skill. And the third hypothesis the students taught by using flippe classroom model better that the students did not taught by flipped. Data analysis showed that the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted because tobtained (7,574) was higher than ttable (1,671) for df 58 with the level significant 0,05Hence, it can be concluded that flipped classroom model has positive effect to the second grade students at MTsN Ganting Padang Panjang in writing of recount text.
