Abstrak
ABSTRACK Ratna Sari, 2314.004, The Efforts of English Teacher To Improve Students Speaking Skill Through English Clinic ( Community Language Learning) in MAN 2 Bukittinggi.This research were aimed to know what were the effort of English teacher to improve students speaking skill through English Clinic (Community Language Learning) the name of theory Charles Curant, that theory explained “the teacher as counselor and the students as a client”. This research were finished because there were some improvements that occur in schools, especially speaking. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The informant of this research is the English teacher in MAN 2 Bukittinggi who teach in English Clinic activity.The finding of the research indicated the efforts of English Teacher. Teacher’s had efforts in improved students speaking skill through this activity, teacher brought native speaker, given awards to the students who are activ in English, be opened to the students, given advice and support, and then the teacher obligated the students X class and XI to followed English Clinic activity, this activity only in guidance 2 teachers, one teacher as be state teach, then the students in XI class which have best English language ability the teacher appointed to help the activities named as trainer. In English Clinic activity, teacher as a counselor and students as clients where, there were problems faced by students, then the teacher be oppened to to students to search the solved of the problems. All of the materials in that activity has prepared of the teacher. The teacher divided the students in several groups, where every groups there were one trainer (counselor) guided 3-4 training (clients). key word: Teacher Efforts, Speaking, English Clinic
