Abstrak
ABSTRACT Amanda Maharani Putri, 2314.080. The Students’ Perception Toward The ICT (Information, Communication, and Technology) Used by the Lecturer in Microteaching Class Of the Sixth Semester of English Education Students in IAIN Bukittinggi Academic Year 2017 / 2018. A Thesis, English Educational Department, Islamic Institute Bukittinggi, 2018. The background of the problems of this reasearch is because there are something different between the theory about the use of ICT and facts in the fields, and there are lack of the frequency of the use of ICT in microteaching class, that’s the reason why this research need to be conducted because the use of Information, Communication, and Technology (ICT) in microteaching class is unavoidable and really important for the students to maximize their learning, and the lecturer that implemented ICT in microteaching class can created more constructivist learning environments and its very useful in education especially in microteaching class. This research was a quantitative research with descriptive technique. The population of this research was the 124 people of the sixth semester of English Education students. The sample of this research were 25% of 124 students were the total 31 students which chosen by random sampling. The data was collected by distributed a questionnaire to each students. Then, the data analyzed from that questionnaire. Last, the data displayed in descriptive way. The result of this research is, the researcher found the frequency of the data that for the first indicator about Computer Technology used by the lecturer in microteaching class, 45,13% of the students shown fair/good enough of perception answer. The second indicator about the frequency of the used of Multimedia Technology by the lecturer in Microteaching class, there were 49,08% of students answered that can be indicate fair/good enough perception. Then, the third indicator about Computer Networking, only 27,73% of the students answered that can be indicate bad perception. In conclusion, there were fair/enough perceptions of the students’ toward the use of Computer and Multimedia Technology in Microteching subject while there was bad perception of the used of Computer Networking by the lecturer.
