Abstrak
ABSTRACT Imma Syarifah, 2314.114. Factors Affecting Students’s Length In Accomplishing Their Thesis Of English Education Department At Iain Bukittinggi 2013-2017. A Thesis, State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Bukittinggi, 2018. This research was due to discover the Factors Affecting Students’s Length In Accomplishing Their Thesis. It has been done at English Education Department in Iain Bukittinggi 2013-2017. Because most of the students still encounter problems in accomplishing thesis by the graduates of English Education Department at State Islamic Institute of Bukittinggi in 2013 until 2017. Most of the students has problem in internal and exsternal factor, did not have enough time in accomplishing thesis, and did some lack of the research method. Due to the problems, this research would like to know the most and causes of students’ factors affecting especially in accomplishing thesis by the graduates of English Education Department. The design of this research was quantitative qualitative. There were fiften students as the informant of this resarch and the Chairman of English Education Department, lecturers of Research Method subject and Advisors. They were selected by using purposive sampling technique. Then, the researcher used documentation and interview to got the data for this research. This research found that the students made two factors accomplishing thesis that students made were internal factor (motivation), and exsternal factor (research method). Most of students made internal factor lack of motivation in students self because it were uplift the spirit to accomplish thesis. Furthermore the weakness of the student in the data processing that they already get.In conclusion, motivation was dominant factor that appeared in students’ accomplishing thesis, lack of writing, less understand about Research Method subject, lack of literature, unsuitability of time with advisors .
