Abstrak
ABSTRACT Mirna Sari Dewi, 2313.049. Thesis. The Classroom Performance of Certified English Teachers at SMKN 1 Matur. State Islamic institute of Bukittinggi, 2017. This research was doing to several problems in the field certified English teacher to were busy to fulfil administration task. They tent to chase twenty fourth hours teaching in a week. Late to came in the class. Moreover, this research is conducted to analyze the performance of certified English teacher in teaching English at SMKN 1 Matur. The type of the research is descriptive qualitative research. The data were collected from the interviews to the informants and observation in the class certified English teacher. The source of the research is the certified English teacher, as the key informants and the supporting informant are the students who have studied with English teacher certification. Based on the data analysis is found that the performance of certified English teachers in SMKN 1 Matur is not good because the strategies used the teachers were not varied just explained the lesson in front of class and the used of media is not interesting because sometimes there are obstacles in the provision of media so it is difficult to vary the media. The teacher did not evaluate his program, the teachers did not give motivation to the students and the teachers always came late in the class. Meanwhile, the attempts that have done by teacher to overcome the problems are before enter the class, the teacher must prepared the good strategy to improved students ability in English learning and used interest media to increase their ability in learning English.
