Hubungan Antara Digital Literasi dan Kemampuan Membaca Bahasa Inggris di SMKN 2 Padang Panjang

Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi,2026 This study investigates the relationship between digital literacy and reading comprehension in English among vocational high school students, a context in which learners are routinely exposed to digital tools yet often continue to struggle with English texts. Despite theoretical claims that digital competence supports online reading, empirical evidence for vocational student populations remains limited. This study aimed to determine whether a significant relationship exists between students' digital literacy and their reading comprehension in English. A quantitative correlational design was employed, involving 36 twelfth-grade students of the TKJ 2 program at SMKN 2 Padang Panjang, The results showed that students' digital literacy was generally high (72,2%) and homogeneous, while reading comprehension scores varied considerably. The correlation between the two variables was negligible (r = -.015, p = .929), and the null hypothesis was accepted. Keyword: Relationship, Digital Literacy, Reading Comprehension
