Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi karena permasalahan yang ditemukan di kelas IX SMPN 3 Pariaman bahwa rendahnya motivasi belajar matematika siswa, hal ini dapat dilihat hampir sebagian besar siswa tidak mengerti dengan pembelajaran yang dijelaskan. Salah satu solusi yang dianggap dapat menyelesaikan masalah tersebut yaitu pembelajaran dengan pendekatan pendekatan Pendidikan Matematika Realistik untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar matematika siswa, karena Pendekatan Pendidikan Matematika Realistik memiliki karakterisitik berupa, menggunakan konteks dunia nyata, menggunakan model - model, produksi dan kontribusi siswa, interaktif, dan keterkaitan. Rendahnya motivasi belajar matematika siswa juga terjadi di kelas VII. Hal ini dapat terlihat dari kurangnya hasrat dan keinginan siswa untuk belajar, dimana siswa cenderung menunda nunda pekerjaan yang diberikan guru. Serta kurangnya penghargaan dalam diri siswa untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar yang mengakibatkan nilai Ulangan Harian (UH) siswa menjadi rendah, sehingga dari permasalahan tersebut dapat memperlihatkan rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal matematika, yang tentu saja berpengaruh terhadap motivasi belajar siswa pada pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Pra β Eksperimen menggunakan rancangan penelitian One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Populasi dari penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 3 Pariaman. Adapun teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu Random Sampling, dengan sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu kelas IX-7 sebagai kelas Eksperimen. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu angket motivasi belajar matematika siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data angket motivasi belajar matematika siswa dihitung dengan uji paired sampel π‘ tes diperoleh π‘βππ‘π’ππ = 7,386 dan π‘π‘ππππ =1,70. Karena π‘βππ‘π’ππ > π‘π‘ππππ berarti H0 ditolak, sedangkan menggunakan Software SPSS diperoleh sig. =0,00 pada taraf nyata π = 0,05 yang berarti sig. π. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Pendidikan Matematika Realistik memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap Motivasi belajar matematika siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 3 Pariaman. Cici Wahyuni , 2316072.β The Correlation Between Part Of Speech Mastery and Writing Achievement at 11th Students of MAN 4 Agam in Academic Years 2020/2021β. A Thesis. English Education Study Program. IAIN Bukittinggi, 2021. This research was done because there were some students had problems in learning writing, especially in parts of speech mastery. The parts of speech as a basic of grammar seem to be necessary in the process of language learning Therefore, the researcher conducted observations and interviews to finding the real condition. In addition, there were some of students who were master in parts of speech while some others were not master in parts of speech so they had difficulty in writing. Relate to this condition, the researcher wanted to investigate the correlation between parts of speech mastery and writing achievement at 11th students of MAN 4 Agam in Academic Years 2020/2021. The design of this research was correlational research. The population of this research was all students at XI Grade of MAN 4 Agam in the academic years 2020/2021 which consist of 4 classes. The sample was 39 students taken by purposive sampling technique. The instrument of this research were test for measuring parts of speech mastery and documentation for collecting writing score of the students. To analyze the data, the researcher used the SPSS version 20 for windows. In analyzing the data, the researcher used Pearson Product Moment formula to find out the significant correlation, to find out the correlation direction and to find out the correlation magnitude of studentsβ mastery in parts of speech and writing achievement. The result of the research showed that there was a correlation between studentsβ mastery in parts of speech and writing achievement at the 11th students of MAN 4 Agam academic years 2020/2021. The researcher found that the coefficient of correlation between studentsβ mastery in parts of speech and writing achievement at the 11th students of MAN 4 Agam was 0,376. The correlation was positive and significant. It means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus, there is positive correlation between studentsβ mastery in parts of speech and writing achievement at the 11th students of MAN 4 Agam. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that parts of speech does not have big influence on studentsβ writing achievement. In conclusion, this research is done for finding the correlation between parts of speech mastery and writing achievement at 11th students of MAN 4 Agam.
