This research discusses science ethics in the development of
alternative science. The object of this research is the root of modern science
school, value-free or value-bound science, ethic approach on science and
axiology foundation of the development of science. This research employed
science philosophical foundation to capture the phenomenon that the
history of the development of science didn’t happen in linear form but it
occurred revolutionary, in the sense that the changes from one paradigm to
other new paradigm happened by taking into account other values from
outside of the science itself. Therefore, this research also used science
paradigm theories as well as science ethics theories. The finding of this
research indicated that there is a need for a paradigm that leads and ensure
that the development of science is constructive for human life. This
research also revealed that science has an important role in all aspect of
human life; the exploration of science has assisted human in terms of
facilitating them in carrying out different kinds of activities and technology
as product of science has also accelerated human mobility by shortening
and broadening the sphere of time and place of human life. On the other
hand, the development of science and the role that it plays has demolished the very existence of humanity. Science is no longer explored; it has already
been extremely exploited. As a result, the development of science has
threatened and ruined the existence of humans. This research, therefore,
proposes a solution, it is time for science to open itself to values outside of
the science itself. Science is no longer the qibla for all the systems of
human life. Other dimensions should be included to regulate human life.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the role of the internet as a medium of communication in the lecture process in the modernization era when the co-19 pandemic of Batam State Polytechnic students. This study uses the theory uses and gratification from Joseph B. Walther. This research method uses qualitative research methods with a transcendental phenomenological study approach. The subjects of this study were Batam State Polytechnic students who were conducting online lectures due to the impact of Covid-19 as many as 5 (five) people found through snowball sampling. Data collection through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis using data triangulation analysis was performed on one student of Sultan Agung University of Semarang and one student of Sari Mutiara University of Medan . The results showed that the role of the internet as a medium of communication for the modernization of Batam State Polytechnic students was very helpful during the co-19 pandemic. However, in addition to the many benefits of internet media in the modernization era there are also obstacles that occur such as difficulty in getting a network, limited costs to buy internet quotas, material provided by lecturers is difficult to understand, and so forth.

It is common knowledge that education is spearhead of the progress of a nation. A qualified teacher will form an intelligent generation. Faculty of Tarbiyah IAIN Bukitinggi is one of the campuses that prints graduate teachers. Therefore, pre-service teachers, especially mathematics education students (PMTK) need to be prepared the competency to become a professional teacher. One of them is by looking at their thinking process in solving geometry. The way of thinking each person different, included both man and women thinks. This research is qualitative-descriptive. The instruments used are tests and interviews. The subjects is student at grade 3th who had taken courses in mathematics learning strategies. The thinking process of him is as follows: the subject begins to receive and know the information after reading the given problem. In processing information, subject identifies the problem read and uses different ways of solving problems for each question such as guess and check strategies and simple problem-solving strategies. In storing information, subject writes down the information that is known and the way of completion on the answer sheet. The last thought process step is in recalling the information, subject re-examine what information is written simultaneously at the time the sentence is written
