Nanang Kasim, "Ritual Tulak Bala (Tradition of Warding Off Calamities in the Sinapa Piliang Community, Lubuk Sikarah District, Solok City)." This research aims to study the religious values embedded in the ritual tradition of Tulak Bala in the Sinapa Piliang community of Lubuk Sikarah District, Solok City. The Tulak Bala ritual is a traditional ceremony performed by the Sinapa Piliang community as an expression of gratitude for a bountiful rice harvest and as an effort to seek protection from God. The research questions in this thesis are: 1. How is the process of conducting the Tulak Bala ritual tradition in the Sinapa Piliang community? 2. What are the religious values contained in the Tulak Bala ritual tradition in the Sinapa Piliang community? This research uses a qualitative approach, with data obtained through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The study concludes by describing the form of implementation of the ritual and the religious values embedded within it. The Tulak Bala ritual is conducted by the Sinapa Piliang community, taking place in Sinapa Piliang, specifically in Lubuk Sikarah. The ritual involves collective prayer around the rice fields, led by community elders. After praying, participants walk along the shoreline, sprinkling leaves of *setawar* and *sedingin* while reciting *tahlil* (remembrance of Allah), with the aim of seeking abundant blessings and a bountiful rice harvest. After the prayer, the ritual continues with a communal meal. The religious values contained in the Tulak Bala ritual are: first, the value of worship, which is reflected in the ritual process involving the recitation of prayers; second, the value of gratitude, expressed through a communal feast as a sign of thankfulness for a successful rice harvest; third, the value of sincerity, evident in the contributions of the fishermen and the local government, whether through food donations, labor, or time, all given selflessly without expecting a reward. This contribution is a form of sincerity for communal unity. Lastly, the value of kinship, as the ritual serves as an opportunity for social interaction among community members, traditional leaders, religious figures, and the local government.
