Department of Sociology of Religion, Faculty of Ushuluddin, Adab and Da’wah, State Islamic University Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi, 2026. This study was motivated by the importance of implementing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as a form of corporate social responsibility toward communities surrounding the company’s operational area. PT Berkat Sawit Sejahtera, as a palm oil plantation company operating in Gunung Tuleh District, West Pasaman Regency, has implemented various CSR programs aimed at the surrounding community. However, the effectiveness of these programs in improving community welfare still needs to be examined more deeply. This study aims to determine the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility of PT Berkat Sawit Sejahtera in Ranah Sungai Magelang, Gunung Tuleh District, West Pasaman Regency, and to analyze its impacts and implementation constraints on community welfare. This research employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of CSR by PT Berkat Sawit Sejahtera is realized through various social programs, such as assistance for the construction of worship facilities, support for religious activities, educational assistance, social assistance to the community, and support for community activities. These CSR programs have had a positive impact on community welfare, particularly in helping to meet the social needs of the community and strengthening the relationship between the company and the community. Nevertheless, the implementation of CSR still faces several constraints, including the limited availability of sustainable community empowerment programs, the lack of community participation in program planning, and the unequal distribution of CSR benefits among community members. Therefore, improvements in CSR implementation that are more participatory, well-targeted, and oriented toward community empowerment are needed in order to enhance community welfare sustainably.
